Whether you have been going to church all your life, or you have never been, you are welcome at New Hope!If you have never been to a worship service before, we want you to really enjoy yourself. Here are some things that may behelpful to know…
¨We rent space from All Saints Lutheran Church, so don't be surprised to see their sign out front. Yes, you are at the right place. When you come through the door, a greeter will greet you. offer you a program, help you find a seat, and answer any questions you may have. Restrooms are downstairs. Music will be playing, come in and make yourself comfortable.
- A well-staffed nursery is provided each week for children ages 5 and under. Please walk your child downstairs and sign them in. On every FIRST and THIRD Sunday of the month, we have our Children’s church called WildSide for KIDS 12 and under. While the adults worship upstairs in the sanctuary, your kids will be learning about God in an age appropriate setting with caring and competent teachers. They will sing, play games, do crafts, have a snack, and learn the Bible! As with the nursery, parents of WildSide age children may register and drop off your child downstairs with our friendly staff.
¨Dress casually and comfortably. There is no dress code,we just want you to feel relaxed.
¨A typical service lasts about 75 minutes, and includes singing, greeting, preaching, prayer and response. We usually observe the Lord's Supper (Communion) on the 2nd Sunday of the month.Feel free to join in singing when you’re comfortable, or you can justlisten.
¨Free snacks and drinks are served after every service—please stay and enjoy!
¨That's about it! If you don’t mind, fill out the communication card from the bulletin, and leave it on the pew when you leave so we can have arecord of your visit!THANKS!
When you are a guest somewhere it's easy to feel awkward or nervous, but just remember-everybody at New Hope was once a first time guest! We think you will find warm hospitality and some real DOWN TO EARTH folks. We try not to takeourselves too seriously.See you next Sunday!
