Volunteer Your Time & Skills
New Hope Kids
Volunteers at New Hope Kids minister to children from nursery to 6th grade during the 4:15 worship service through singing with the children, arts and crafts, telling stories, and teaching the truth of God’s Word. They check in kids, lead classrooms, provide assistance with classroom teachers and sing worship songs. All volunteers will require a background check.
Volunteers on our Connections team are some of the first people our attendees come in contact with at weekend services. They greet people before services, help people find seats, and welcome guests before and after service.
Be apart of a team dedicated to bringing Jesus next door and around your neighborhood.
Volunteers on the Media Team keep things running smoothly during our weekend services and at events so that our attendees have a great experience meeting with the Lord and the church. They run sound during services, put up slides for services and set up and break down before and after services.
Volunteers on the fellowship team help create a warm and organized environment for attendees to interact with each other and enjoy snacks and beverages. They set up our space for snack and beverages in between the 4:15 and 6pm services. They also ensure that our space is clean and organized after this time of fellowship. Volunteers can also opt to help with special events coordination.
Men’s and Women’s Fellowship
Our men’s and women’s fellowships host various church-wide, gender specific events. These groups meet monthly and are a key environment for getting to know other people at our church, growing in your faith and encouragement. Fill out this form for more information our men’s and women’s fellowships or to help serve within these groups.
Volunteers in Small Groups lead groups to cultivate gospel-centered community. They oversee groups of 12-15 individuals, develop leaders, facilitate bible-based discussion and encourage group members in spiritual growth. Volunteers can also host small group bible studies in their homes.
Volunteers on our finance team serve the church behind the scenes in the area of giving and financial stewardship. They collect the offering after weekend worship services and assist with counting the offering after service. Due to the confidential nature of the role, applicants must be members.
Young Adult Ministry
New Hope Christian Church is located right down the block from St. John’s University and hosts many college students and post-graduates. New Hope’s Young Adult Ministry exists to see college students and young adults experience fullness of life with Jesus through intentional discipleship, strong community, and mission-minded service.
